Kerry Taylor Halligan is the owner of Matrix K9 and is the world’s leading expert on Cyber K9 training, specializing in Electronic Storage Detection Canines.
Connecticut State Police Trooper First Class, recently retired as a Patrol K9 Handler specializing in Search and Rescue and Human Remains, Explosive K9 Detection and Bloodhound K9 Handler.
TFC Halligan became one of five full-time instructors at the Connecticut State Police K9 Unit and the Emergency Services Unit working as the lead instructor in the fields of: Narcotics, Explosives, Accelerant (Ignitable – Arson) and Electronic Storage Detection K9s. She is Connecticut’s first woman K9 trainer.
In addition to instructing K9 Patrol, Search and Rescue, Human Remain Detection she also served with Fish & Game with Detection Canines.
TFC Halligan retired from the Connecticut State Police as the world’s leading expert in Electronics Detection Canines.
On March 30, 2022, sadly the World’s First Electronic Storage Detection K-9, Selma, trained by TFC Halligan, passed away. K-9 Selma was the partner of Detective George Jupin, as part of the 161st K9 Training Troop, and became the first K-9 used to detect electronic storage devices on Oct. 4, 2013.
